Meeting was called to order by the president.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited as all stood
respectfully.

Roll was called by the secretary.

Finance report was given by the treasurer and dues were
collected from members.

Donations for S.C.A.R.E. were accepted by the treasurer.
-
Brief business and upcoming fieldtrip were discussed.
-
The new website was formally introduced and flyers were
passed out to members.

Nominations were taken for the open offices of vice
president and reporter.

Nominations for vice president were Jordan and Sarah.
-
Nominations for reporter were Tyler and Gail.
-
Nominees were allowed to tell about themselves and their
involvement with 4-H.
-
Members voted on paper ballots for both offices.

The Dec. 13th meeting agenda and topic were
discussed: Topic-Safety and our Breeds of Study-Breeds of Color.

Reports on specific breeds were assigned.
-
Question posed by the Director to the members: Are there any
colors of Quarter Horse that can not be registered?
-
Christmas party location and date discussed. No confirmed
date or location present.

Topic of current meeting was addressed: Pony Breeds.

Reports were rendered on the following breeds: Shetland
pony, Kerry Bog pony, Marsh Tacky pony, Quarter pony, Falabella pony,
Australian pony, Exmoor pony, Fjord pony and Dartmoor pony. Reports were
very informative and well researched.

Presentation on the discipline
"Hunter Hack" was given by Jordan. Informative, well researched presentation
with an added illustration of jump types on the whiteboard. A job well done,
as expressed by our director, Holly Melton.

Everyone remained quiet and
attentive throughout the presentation and was commended by Holly.

A short discussion on future
presentations and their content, length requirements was given.

Volunteers for the Dec. 13th
meeting presentation were accepted. Sarah and Rosemary volunteered to do
that presentation on "Barrel Racing".

The new 2008 Record/ Project
Handbooks were handed out.

A brief discussion of the
content was given. Information and tips were expressed. (Make a copy of your
own BLANK handbook and be sure to fill in with pencil in case of mistakes!)

Discussion of Handbook
participation to be turned in next fall. Noted: We need to have at least a
70% participation in this area!

Previous votes were tallied and
new officers were announced. Jordan received the office of vice president
and Gail received the office of reporter.
